Team Building Can Be an Adventure

As Beekley Medical’s Marketing Department found out, a little communication goes a long way—and a lot of good communication can solve puzzles and get you out of a locked room!

For this year’s Marketing Department Team Building Outing, Beekley’s top team of Marketing managers, specialists, and graphic designers took on Adventure Rooms Connecticut’s escape room adventure.

They split into two teams and used their deductive reasoning and communication skills to solve riddles, puzzles, and find keys in order to beat the other team to the finish line. What they learned throughout the course of the event and upon escaping to victory was this: great communication and teamwork is the key to success.

According to Adventure rooms, only 30% of participants make it out within the 60 minute timeline.  We are happy to say that both teams completed the task under an hour with only 1 minute separation between the two.

Our marketing team, of course, exhibits great communication skills at Beekley as well as outside the company. We work together on a daily basis to research, design, test, and market new items, each member bringing their own strengths. The result is a smooth-working machine, the same team that brought two new amazing products onboard in 2015 Breeza™ For Neutral and Elequil™ aromatherapy.

With these successes under their belt—and an escape room conquered—it’s time to see what 2016 will bring. One thing’s for the sure, the Beekley Marketing Team is ready.

If you are looking for a team building adventure - we recommend an adventure room activity.  It was a lot of fun and we discovered some interesting latent skill-sets in ourselves and each other. We also walked away with the knowledge that not one of us would have succeeded in escaping on our own.
