Pink Night Baseball - Helping to Strike Out Breast Cancer

It was a winning night for everyone at Muzzy Field in Bristol, CT on Tuesday evening!   We raised money for a wonderful cause and the Bristol Blues won the game!

The Bristol Blues organization raised money for the Beekley Center for Breast Health and Wellness at Bristol Hospital with the sale of pink t-shirts and raffle tickets.   Players donned the special pink t-shirts and swung pink bats!

Three breast cancer survivors, including myself, threw out the first pitches of the evening.  This was fun and very meaningful to our group of pink ladies!   There was uplifting energy when all the survivors were asked to stand and a spiritual bond during the moment of silence for those that have lost the battle with breast cancer.

Seeing the great turnout from family, friends, and co-workers was heartwarming and much appreciated.  It was also very nostalgic for myself, my husband, and sister in laws to be back on Muzzy Field where we had attended local high school football games 40 years ago!
